My Approach

I create a warm and inviting space to allow clients to feel safe and supported and to trust they are being heard and understood. I work wholeheartedly to understand my clients and assist them in navigating their obstacles while building resilience. I work to assists clients to strengthen insight through gentle challenges designed to mold new perspectives and a renewed sense of confidence.  I use an array of evidence-based treatment methods to support the individual needs of each client, while honoring the personal experiences and backgrounds that make them unique.

Our Initial Session

Clients I am fortunate enough to work with will feel comforted in knowing that they have found a therapist who allows them to feel validated and appreciated for the individual that they are. I am truly honored to be invited into the lives of those who choose to work with me, and it will be apparent in our first session that I am committed to contributing to the journey of change that each client wishes to see in themselves.

WHAT IS ACCELERATED RESOLUTION THERAPY?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies but shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly. ART works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. ART accomplishes this through the use of rapid eye movements similar to eye movements that occur during dreaming. ART does not involve hypnotherapy, and the client is always in control of what is happening.

What to Expect:

While you may likely revisit distressful memories during the process of ART treatment, it is not necessary to explain them with specific detail to your therapist, thereby reducing the likelihood of re-traumatization during the therapy process.
